NEW KENT, VA (WWBT) - A New Kent County woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a two vehicle crash in King William County.
According to State Police, a Toyota Camry was traveling west on Route 360 when it hit a 2006 Nissan Altima in the rear. The Nissan then ran off the road, to the right, and struck a tree.
53-year-old Wanda Brown, driver of the Nissan, was transported to the Memorial Regional Hospital where she died from injuries sustained in the crash. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Toyota, 24-year-old Michelle Lilly, was not wearing her seat belt during the crash. She was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash occurred at 3:28 p.m. on Route 360 (Richmond-Tappahannock Turnpike) and Route 30 in King William County. The crash remains under investigation.
