Police arrest suspect in Richmond home invasion

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police have made an arrest in a home invasion that happened on Oct. 2.

Police say 39-year-old Jamison Allgood Weaver went into a home on the corner of Chellowe Road and Brisbane Drive.  The house was unlocked when he entered, according to police.

"It is not believed the home was targeted to steal from, nor was the incident related to the break-in at Southampton Baptist Church," police say.

He was arrested for unlawful entry and for being drunk in public.  They say Weaver has a history of alcohol related offenses.
