Juvenile arrested and charged in Chesterfield armed robbery

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Police have arrested a juvenile in connection with an armed robbery Friday.

Officers tell us around 8:30 p.m., a juvenile approached a person in the 4000 block Meadowdale Boulevard, brandishing a handgun. They say the suspect confronted the victim with the weapon and took off on foot with cash.

Police were able to track the suspect to a business on Hopkins Road, where he was arrested and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, concealed weapon and underage possession of a firearm.

The suspect is being held in the Chesterfield County Detention Home pending a hearing in Chesterfield County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
