RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are looking for a driver who hit a woman overnight, sending her to the hospital.
It happened in the 4000 block of Forest Hill Avenue around 2 a.m. Officers say the victim got out of her vehicle right before the accident, when she was struck by a dark-colored sedan passing by.
Police say her car was still running when they got to the scene. She was taken to the hospital. He injuries are currently non-life-threatening.
Police confirm a child under the age of 10 years old was found inside the victim's car. The child is currently staying with family members.
Part of Forest Hill was shut down during the investigation. The road is now back open.
