An early-morning fire destroyed a Hanover home on Monday.
The flames broke out around 5:41 a.m., according to Hanover Battalion Fire Chief Jason Williams. A passerby alerted crews after seeing a "glow in the sky." Firefighters arrived on scene to find flames had completely engulfed a home.
Crews fought the fire for more than an hour at 11070 Old Telegraph Road, near Route 1.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. People are being asked to avoid the area of Old Telegraph Road and Keaton Road.
The home is considered a total loss.
