Man dies after falling off bridge in Hopewell

Hopewell police are trying to figure out if a man who died after falling from a bridge on Route 10 intentionally jumped or was struck by a vehicle.
Twenty-five-year-old John Allen Sculthorpe was walking west on the Hardaway Marks Bridge around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday when he went over the edge, fell onto Riverside Drive and died.
Investigators don't know if Sculthorpe fell, jumped or was hit by a vehicle. Police describe him as 5'11", 210 pounds, wearing black and white pants, a beige t-shirt and white tennis shoes at the time of the incident. They ask anyone who may have seen him to call 804-541-2222.
