Grand jury indicts Richmond man for Hillside Court shooting that wounded toddler

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man has been indicted on two charges related to a shooting in Hillside Court in June that wounded a 23-month-old girl.

A grand jury indicted Dontrell Mason Monday for unlawful discharge of a firearm and possession of a firearm in commission of a felony.

The incident inspired a joint press conference by Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones and the City's police chief, Ray Tarasovic, who both expressed their frustration over the lack of witnesses willing to come forward after the shooting.
