Entrepreneurs pitch their start-ups at Virginia Venture Summit
Entrepreneurs, start-up companies and investors converged for the 2nd Annual Virginia Venture Summit Thursday.
They filed into the Virginia Historical Society for a day of pitching their companies and learning from other successful local businesses, such as Relay Foods.
The host organization, Richmond Venture Forum, also announced that it has a new name and website.
Now called Venture Forum RVA, the organization hopes to continue it's nearly 30-year history of connecting start-ups and venture capital to help grow new businesses and jobs in Richmond.
Said Venture Forum RVA President Andrew White, "I think the Venture Forum needs to shine a light on all that activity and let everyone know we can be a destination for raising capital and for starting new companies, and growing great companies, like HDL, SnagAjob, Evatran, all based in Richmond because of what we have going on here."
