RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - More than 5,300 Richmond Dominion customers have their power back on after an overnight outage.
Several traffic lights were flashing during the morning commute. Dominion confirmed an equipment failure caused the outage, which stretched from Carytown to Boulevard, but a possible transformer fire may be to blame.
Traffic lights were malfunctioning at the intersection of Thompson and Broad Streets. They are now working.
Power has been restored for most customers.
