Cyclist assaulted and bike stolen in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police are searching for man they say assaulted someone then stole his bicycle.
Police say around 309 p.m. Saturday, a 55 year old man was riding in the 1400 block of Chamberlayne Avenue when he was struck in the head and knocked to the ground by the suspect.
Officers say that man then took off on the victim's bike. The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.
