Workers allowed back in building after downtown Richmond gas leak
RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Workers at the Virginia Employment Commission are being allowed back into their downtown Richmond building after a gas leak.
Crews were able to close the gas leak around 3:30 p.m., nearly three hours after a contractor hit the line near 7th and Canal streets.
Roads in the area are now back open and workers are being allowed back in to the VEC building at 7th and Main streets, according to state officials.
