Court documents reveal more about doctor charged with DUI in jogger's death
HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - "I just think it was a tragic thing and I really am sorry," said Lois Chenault.
Like many in the Hanover area, Chenault is devastated. She woke this morning to loud noises just outside her home where the car hit and killed the female jogger.
"We knew the family very well," said Chenault.
Chenault said her daughter went to school with the jogger. Her heart goes out to the family. She said this isn't the first time she's seen an accident on Route 54.
"I've seen two people get killed out here," said Chenault. "One lady was on a scooter, and she was coming around the curb and ran under a pick up truck."
The other she says was a 15-year-old boy who died after losing control of his car near her drive way. Chenault said this morning was no different from the previous tragedies.
"We could see a vehicle up there, up the road, that looked like it had hit something, and the deputies were over in the woods with their equipment and the EMS truck, and we could tell that they were over there trying to take care of someone."
