House fire destroys vacant Midlothian home

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A house fire is under investigation in Midlothian.

It happened Thursday night at 116 East 14th Street. Fire crews said heavy flames broke out in the rear of the home around 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters were able to put it out, but it appears the home is a total loss.

According to Chesterfield Fire, the home was vacant and appeared to be under renovation. No one was hurt.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
