Store owners in Hopewell arrested for selling "Spice"

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Several store owners and managers were arrested Friday and charged for the distribution of synthetic cannabis, commonly referred to as "Spice."
Police tell us "Spice" was being sold at Cigarette City in the 300 block of Cavalier Square and Golden Express in the 100 block of S. 15th Avenue. They say 69 year old James Petery, 63 year old Gayla Petery, 42 year old Sohail Panjwani, 30 year old Imran Panjwani and 40 year old Sulaiman Panjwani have all been charged with Distribution of Synthetic Cannabinoids.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges at other stores selling "Spice" may follow.
