Update: Man killed in accident on Lucks Lane in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A 20-year-old man is dead after his SUV ran off a Chesterfield County road early Monday, an incident that shut down nearly half a mile of Lucks Lane.
Police identified the driver as Matthew Farr, of Westbury Ridge Drive. His 2001 Lexus SUV was traveling westbound on Lucks Lane, when it crossed over the median and plunged into the forest on the eastbound side.
Neighbors reported hearing the sound of a loud crash around 2:30 a.m., and Chesterfield Police cordoned off the area around 8:30 a.m. The scene is a roughly two minute drive from Farr's home.
All travel lanes from Westcreek Drive to Explorer Drive reopened to traffic before 3 p.m. Police said Farr was the only person in the vehicle, and no other cars were involved in the incident.
The cause of the crash has not been officially determined. Chesterfield Police did not comment further concerning victim or the circumstances of the crash.
