HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - Summer Moon Festival at Center of the Universe Brewing
It's been over forty years since man first walked on the moon, but you can celebrate that landmark event all over again this Saturday from 12pm to 9pm at the Summer Moon Festival at Center of the Universe Brewing in Ashland.
This is the brewing company's first Summer Moon Festival and it commemorates the 44th anniversary of the moon landing. Admission is free to this all-ages event, where the whole family can enjoy barbecue from My Daddy's Barbecue and fresh shucked oysters from Anderson's Neck Oyster Bar.
This event will also feature craft beer from the brewing company and live music from seven bands.

Shockoe Tomato Festival
If you missed the Hanover Tomato Festival last weekend, or just really love that summer garden staple, then you'll definitely want to head down to the 17th Street Farmer's Market on Saturday, July 20th, for the 9th Annual Shockoe Tomato Festival.
The festival, which kicks off at 11am and runs until 4pm, features locally grown tomato-based dishes from over 40 Richmond area restaurants. Admission into the festival is free, but be sure to bring cash or a card to sample the delicious food or if you plan to browse the many booths set up by local merchants, artists and crafters.
Festival-goers can also enjoy live music from Richmond area bands and beverages from Brown Distributing. Definitely be sure to catch the "Hot Tomato" talent contest at 3pm.
