CHARLES CITY, VA (WWBT) - Charges have recently been filed in a hit-and-run accident that sent two cyclists to the hospital with serious injuries.

The New Kent-Charles City Chronicle reported that 52-year-old Carlton Crawford is facing charges in connection to that crash.

Two bicyclists were hit while participating in the Cap 2 Cap ride in Charles City back on May 11. The paper reports that one of the cyclists is still in the hospital.

Crawford is the driver of the tractor-trailer suspected of hitting the riders.
