RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The deadline has come and gone for the National Slavery Museum to pay up.
The city of Fredericksburg says Doug Wilder's project owes more than $215,000 in back taxes.
The city's treasurer told the New York Times he's placing an ad in the newspaper this week to auction off the property.
The 38-acre site, right off Interstate 95, is valued at more than $7.5 million.
Wilder announced the construction of the museum 10 years ago, but nothing of substance has been built.
