RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – More small dogs are coming to Richmond. Tuesday, the Richmond SPCA announced unwanted Chihuahuas from California will be looking for a home here.

About eight Chihuahuas will fly in every Monday for the next few weeks. Janet Chenoweth scooped up one of the dogs.

"A small dog because we have a small house. We also like how cute they are and peppy and they're very loving. They're very devoted. Virginia loves Chihuahuas," said Chenoweth.

These Chihuahuas are coming from the Pasadena, California Humane Society. There is a major problem with over-population there. The Chihuahuas will be adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
