RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A case of vandalism in downtown Richmond near 3rd and Cary streets, and the victim is the American Red Cross.

Vandals broke the front windshield on six Red Cross vehicles and for some reason peeled off the state inspection stickers.

"We understand through the police that the people who steal the inspection stickers sell them to other people, who can post them on their cars that would not otherwise pass inspection," said Bill Harrison, spokesman for Richmond chapter of the American Red Cross

This happened the week of Labor Day. The total out-of-pocket expense to the Red Cross was about $1,500. Police have no suspects at this time.
