Emily Harrison is happy to call Richmond her new home. She joined NBC12 in August of 2020, and you can find her reporting on the morning broadcasts. She graduated from Elon University with a double degree in broadcast journalism degree and political science. One week later, she started as an MMJ in Lubbock, Texas at KLBK News where she reported on countless breaking news situations, met with strong survivors of sexual assault, and even chased a wild pig through the city limits. Emily calls Wilmington, Delaware home but has lived all across the country. She has a lot of ‘First-State pride,’ but is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. When she’s not running around, you can usually find her reading a good book, with good food nearby, and her rescue cat, Wednesday, on her lap.
