RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Ophelia is gone from Central VA.

Rainfall totals ranged from 3 to 6 inches across central Virginia for the entire storm.

Rain was non-stop, with at least 0.01″ recorded every hour from Friday 6pm through 6:00am Sunday Morning.

Saturday rain: 2.76″ (daily record for 9/22)

Sunday rain 0.10″

Total Storm total: 317″ at RIC

ALERTS

NWS issued a flash flood warning for the area at 4:19pm, which stayed active until 10:15pm. Numerous reports of high water reported throughout the Richmond Area.

Ophelia was downgraded from a Tropical Storm to a Tropical Depression as it approached Richmond.

WIND

Peak wind (2 minute average) for the storm was 29mph, Peak gust was 39mph

Sunday Forecast: A few early lingering showers are possible. Most of the day will be dry, breezy and mostly cloudy. Westerly winds 5-10 mph with 15 mph gusts.
