RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Avoid the dreaded summer “I’m bored” from your kids with this list of toys that have been put to the test by grownups and kids.

The recommendations come from Toys Tots Pets and More (TTPM).

“We have a must-have toy list with 25 toys listed, and we picked them based on price value and play value,” Betsy V. said. “We review the toys ourselves, we have the kids review them because kids are always honest and we see what the price value is. Is it worth spending every coin you have on it or is it not? So, are the kids going to enjoy it, and for some of the toys, are the adults going to enjoy it?

Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn So Big Puppy

“Fisher-Price gets two levels of learning: Tunes and songs, and then sounds and phrases,” Betsy V. said. “Alphabet, counting, animal sounds, greetings, and they also grow with your child, so that’s my favorite part about this.

The toy is designed for children ages 18-36 months old.

I Love VIP Glitter Twist

“You don’t know what you’re going to get, which is amazing,” Betsy V. said. “So, it’s a fashionable doll with super long, luxurious hair. There are nine surprises to a box. You wash their hair to reveal their unique style, which I think is the best part about it.”

Glam Crush Dolls

“They’re collectible dolls, and again, it’s the blind buy experience but in this case, it’s the blind brush experience,” Betsy V. said. “So out of the package, you don’t see who you’re going to get. You just see the top of their hair. You have to push it up to reveal what doll you’re going to get. It comes with a makeup wand and you have to crush it to get the accessory that it comes with. It also has a third reveal when you add water to her face.”

The dolls are popular with children ages 6 and older. There are several to collect, so you can exchange with friends. The dolls cost about $9.99.

The Nerf Rival Pro-Shot

The Nerf Rival Pro-Shot goes up to 100 feet per second and has a new curve feature.

“With this one, you get to select your curve. Meaning, that you get to select the muzzle and it will blast your opponent right, left, straight or down,” Betsy V. said.

The toy costs $30.

Boardgame Lucky Flip

This board game is a Roulette-style party game.

“Each card has colors and numbers,” Betsy V. said. “It’s easy to learn, easy to set up. And you need strategy, memory, but also some luck to win.”

This game is for children ages 12 and up.

The game takes about 25 minutes to play and costs under $30.

Most of these toys are available at Walmart or on Amazon.

We’re told they’ll be easy to find at major retailers.
