Police investigating food thefts from business’ freezer

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Detectives from the Richmond Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person connected to thefts from a business freezer.

Police say on May 8 and May 14, a man parked in the 6500 block of Midlothian Turnpike and entered an outside area near the back of the building. On both instances, police say he stole several boxes of food. During the second incident, detectives say he used bolt cutters.

Photos provided by Richmond police show a man in a black jacket and gray sweatpants. He was also wearing white shoes and a white mask.

The man’s vehicle appeared to be a black or dark-colored SUV.
