Crash on I-95 in Hanover causes backups

HANOVER, Va. (WWBT) - A crash on Interstate 95 south in Hanover caused backups on Friday afternoon.

The center and right southbound lanes were closed near mile marker 100, which is two miles from Doswell. The lanes reopened shortly before 7 p.m.

VDOT said there was a five-mile backup at one point.

Drivers were urged to use alternate routes and expect delays.
