Woman arrested for attempted malicious wounding in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WWBT) - A woman was arrested in connection to an attempted malicious wounding in Petersburg.

Police said they arrested Cherokee Browder, 25, of Dinwiddie, in connection to shots being fired incident that happened on May 28, 2020, in the 20 block of William T Jarrett Court near Van Buren Street.

She is charged with attempted malicious wounding, three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and maliciously shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Browder is being held without bond pending a court appearance.
