Henrico garbage man earns ‘Driver of the Year’ at Waste Management

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - Darrel McNeil, a garbage man who was featured on NBC12′s Acts of Kindness, has won “Driver of the Year” with his company.
McNeil, also known by his customers as Mr. Darrel, took the time to buy a pair of toddlers a toy truck - just like his.
Now, Darrel’s entire company is taking notice of his kindness.
Darrel was one of four employees who received the “Driver of the Year” award at Waste Management.
The company says Darrel is one of their best employees and embodies Waste Management’s values by putting people first, focusing on safety and committing to customers.
