HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - Hopewell City Public Schools announced they will shift to 100% virtual learning on Jan. 20, which is Inauguration Day.

The school district said the decision was made due to ‘predicted threats of violence in Richmond’.

All buildings will be closed and staff will be asked to work from home.

“The health and safety of our HCPS family will always be our first priority,” the school district said on their Facebook page.
