Police: Suspect vehicle wanted in Walmart theft crashes in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Police say a vehicle that was involved in a theft at Walmart has crashed in Chesterfield.

Sources tell NBC12 that an officer spotted a vehicle that was wanted in connection to a theft inside Walmart and pursued the vehicle.

Once police pursued the vehicle, the vehicle began to drive recklessly, so police ended the pursuit.

The vehicle crashed at the intersection of Hull Street Road and Courthouse Road.

Police say two people are now in custody.

Drivers should expect delays on Hull Street Road and Courthouse Road in Chesterfield due to a crash. The east right lane and right shoulder on US 360 are closed.
