Police: Woman sought after armed robbery at Hopewell business

HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - Police say a woman is being sought after an armed robbery at a store in Hopewell.

On Jan. 4 at approximately 9:58 p.m., officers responded to the Quality Inn located at 4911 Oaklawn Boulevard for a robbery that had just occurred.

According to the investigation, the suspect entered the business, with a knife demanding money from the clerk.

The clerk ran into the office at which time the offender kicked in the door again demanding money.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, the offender fled the business on foot.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Police say the suspect is described as a woman approximately 5′05″to 5′07″ tall, weighing 115 to 140 pounds.

She was last seen wearing dark-colored jeans, white shoes, a hooded jacket, a light-colored stocking cap, gloves and a mask covering her face.
