HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) — With vaccine rollouts happening, many might be wondering where they stand in line in terms of getting the vaccine. The Virginia Department of Health says when you are next in line, you will be notified.

Healthcare workers and first responders are first on the list in phase 1A. To receive the vaccine in Virginia, VDH says they are going by the CDC definition of who is considered a healthcare provider, which are all paid or unpaid people serving in healthcare settings. Dentists are included in this phase.

“We are supposed to be on the list to receive it first,” said Jeffrey McKnight from Harrisonburg Pediatric Dentistry. Although he does not know exactly when they will receive it, “they’ll inform us when vaccines are available.”

Who will be in phase 1B and 1C is currently under review.
