RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond Police Department said goodbye to former patrol K9 Diesel, who died at the age of 11.

RPD said K9 Diesel served eight years on the force, working with K9 Officer Moore for nearly five.

Police said K9 Diesel was a fixture at many K9 demonstrations.

He was also responsible for numerous apprehensions and firearm seizures during his career.
