RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Richmond police are trying to identify an armed robbery suspect who chased after a victim on Nov. 20.

Police said shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, a security video shows a victim running up to a porch in the 1300 block of North 23rd Street with the suspect chasing after him.

“The victim ran to a random location and yelled out a random name, in hopes of deterring the suspect from robbing him,” police said.

Officers said the suspect continued to chase after the victim with a handgun and eventually robbed him of an undisclosed amount of money.

Officials said the suspect has a goatee and was last seen wearing a dark-colored Nike hoodie, a surgical mask, blue stonewashed cut-up jeans and brown Timberland boots.

Anyone with information is asked to call First Precinct Detective D. Jones at (804) 646-0689 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
