Driver killed in Chesterfield crash identified

Police say the driver suffered from medical emergency

CHESTERFIELD Co., Va. (WWBT) - Chesterfield police say a driver who was killed in a crash on Tuesday afternoon has been identified. Police believe the driver suffered a medical emergency at the time.

Officers were called to the 2700 block of Old Gunn Road West around 4 p.m. on Dec. 1.

Police said a 2018 Dodge work van was leaving a home when it hit a mailbox, crossed the roadway, went into a ditch, traveled up an embankment and struck a vehicle on private property.

The driver, identified as Jeremy C. Dunn, 37, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

At this point in the investigation, police believe Dunn suffered a medical emergency at the time of the crash.
