CHESTERFIELD Co., Va. (WWBT) - With Chesterfield County Public Schools’ students returning to all-virtual learning, the division is relaunching its free meal service program.
The meal service begins on Dec. 2 and is available to all Chesterfield County children ages 18 and under.
The meals will be served on a first-come, first-served basis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On pickup days, children will be given the current day’s meals and meals for the following day. On Friday, meals will be given out for the weekend, as well.
Children do not have to be present to pick up meals, just tell a staff member the child’s first and last names and age.
Dinner will be included at select sites in accordance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s recent extension.
