Police seek answers seven years after 19-year-old’s murder in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Police are still seeking answers seven years after the murder of a 19-year-old man in Chesterfield.

On May 11, 2013, officers responded to the 5300 block of Pembroke Street for a report of shots fired.

After arriving on the scene, police located Matthew Warren McDaniel, 19, in the middle of Pembroke Street suffering from a single gunshot wound.

McDaniel was pronounced dead at the scene.
