Hollywood comes to Hopewell to film new series ‘Swagger’

HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - Hollywood is coming to Hopewell to film a new series called Swagger this week.

The show, set to air on Apple TV, will be filming around the city on Tuesday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 4. The show is based on the life of Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant.

Durant is also one of the show’s producers.

Filming for Swagger will take place at City Park on Appomattox Street and South 6th Avenue Marvin Neal Bridge on Tuesday. Several road closures will be in place throughout that day.

On Friday, the filming will take place at Marvin Neal Bridge and First Baptist Church. Closures will also be in effect that day.
