Police: Two men arrested in connection to Super 8 Motel robbery

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Police say two men have been arrested in connection to a robbery that took place at a Super 8 Motel.

According to police, one of the suspects entered the Super 8 Motel located at 2421 Southland Drive at about 4:50 p.m., demanded money from the clerk and displayed a firearm.

After receiving cash, both suspects fled on foot.

Based on a tip from the public, police identified the suspects as Luke J. Johnson, 45, and Harry L. Jines Jr., 53.

Police say Johnson was arrested and charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Conspiracy to commit robbery
  • Use of a firearm while in the commission of a felony
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Police say Jines was arrested and charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Both men are being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
