School closings, schedule changes ahead of Zeta’s arrival

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Schools will be closing or making changes to their schedule before Tropical Storm Zeta’s arrival.

The following schools will be closed on Oct. 29:

  • Amelia County Public Schools
  • Brunswick County Public Schools
  • Lunenburg County Public Schools
  • Mecklenburg County Public Schools
  • Kenston Forest School

The following schools have made changes to its schedule:

  • Buckingham and Nottoway County Public Schools are virtual only today. There will be no in-person learning.
  • King and Queen County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay.
  • Chesterfield County Public Schools will have a three-hour early release for all students.
