A Moment of Mindfulness: How yoga is helping the community during the pandemic

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - As the pandemic continues, many people of all ages are turning to yoga, meditation and mindfulness as calming sources and ways to relieve stress.

In an On Your Side Digital Dialogue, Jasmine Turner spoke with Katie Santoro, with Lunge Yoga, a yoga studio on the city’s southside, as well as Joy Rush, with Yoga Joy RVA, a yoga studio for children.

Santoro and Rush discussed how their yoga practices have adapted to the virtual needs due to the pandemic and how yoga is helping the communities they serve. There was even a chance to join in on a short virtual class!
