WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WWBT) - Busch Gardens announced on Thursday that it will be opening in early August with a special event.

In 2020, the company began the phase of reopening some of its parks with reduced operating days and capacity limitations.

The park in Williamsburg will welcome back guests on Thursday, Aug 6 with an all-new, limited capacity special event – Coasters and Craft Brews. Reservations will need to be made for the limited event.

Coasters and Craft Brews will run Aug. 6 -16, Thursdays from 5 -9 p.m. and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5-9 p.m.

The company has set enhanced health and safety protocols including increased sanitizing and cleaning, capacity limitations, physical distancing and face-covering requirements.

“We want to thank our guests for their patience and are so excited to be able to give them a taste of Busch Gardens Williamsburg when we safely welcome them back to enjoy Coasters and Craft Brews,” said Kevin Lembke, president of Busch Gardens Williamsburg. “The health and safety of our guests and employees is our foremost priority and we are working hard to prepare the park for this special event so guests can join us for a fun and safe experience.”
