Spotsylvania County cancels annual ‘Stars and Stripes Spectacular’

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Spotsylvania County is canceling its annual “Stars and Stripes Spectacular” at the Courthouse District.

The popular Independence Day celebration was planned for June 27 and officials were expecting 25,000 to 30,000 people.

The county says the decision to cancel was made due to the social limits in place as part of Virginia’s phased reopening plan.

Any plans to reschedule would be announced at a later time.
