(WWBT) - On this day, March 23, 1839, the initials “OK” are published for the first time in a paper.
According to History.com, OK is meant for “oll korrect,” which was a popular misspelling of “all correct.”
After being printed in The Boston Morning Post, it quickly made it into everyday speech.
