Prince Edward County Schools closed Friday due to flu

PRINCE EDWARD, Va. (WWBT) - Prince Edward County Public Schools will be closed Friday, Feb. 7 due to the flu.

School officials say the closure will allow their staff to do another deep cleaning of the entire campus.

This is the second district in the region to close from the virus. King William County Public Schools are closed on Thursday and Friday due to a high number of confirmed and suspected flu cases within the division.
