RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) caught a Chesterfield man with a handgun at Richmond International Airport.

Police responded to the checkpoint, took the handgun and detained the man for questioning after TSA officials found a .380 caliber handgun in the traveler’s carry-on bag.

Police issued two citations on a weapons charge and having no permit to carry a gun.

The gun was not loaded.
