21-year-old driver killed in crash near GRTC Pulse stop in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Richmond police responded to a crash near a GRTC Pulse station early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on West Broad Street, near the Allison Street Station by Hermitage Road.

According to police, Leo Rocha-Miranda, 21, of Springfield, Va., was ejected from his vehicle after striking Pulse bus stop protection poles.

Rocha-Miranda was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.

Broad Street was closed between DMV Drive and Allison Street for more than an hour but has since reopened.
