RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A Richmond high school basketball coach is under investigation after being charged with sexual battery.

According to police, Willard Coker, the head boys basketball coach at George Wythe High School, is charged with sexual battery.

The school system confirmed the matter is under investigation.

According to court documents, the incident happened on Dec. 5, 2019, and involves a female student on the girl’s basketball team.

Documents say Coker told the girl “I’m going to snatch yo ass up” before saying good game and tapping her butt.

The next day, court documents say he said “you’re just so sexy” and “I’m just going to touch your butt just because it’s big.”

As she left, she claims he touched her butt again.

The girl then went and told administrators, who said they would handle it.

According to documents, he was gone from the school three days prior to winter break.
