RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - One Chesterfield woman and her neighbors organized a donation to Barack Obama elementary school.

In total, they raised enough money to give three presents to each of the 350 students at the school. She says she came up with the idea after seeing a friend’s Facebook post.

“They didn’t believe in Santa or Christmas,” said Regina Bowen.

She says at least 100 people donated; she estimates they were able to purchase 400 board games and 50 Barbie dolls. Regina and her elves dropped off the gifts Wednesday to the school with Santa Claus.

As for next year, Regina isn’t sure how she’ll be able to top what she did this year she says she’s going to wait and see what next year brings
