RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond Police Department has identified the victim in a deadly Richmond shooting investigation.

Police were called to the 2300 block of Gordon Avenue around 11:30 Monday morning. When they arrived they found the body of Calvin Peay, 36, of the 1300 block of Minefee Street lying in the roadway. Police say he had been shot.

A few minutes later, RPD officers located a second victim of the shooting who made it to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

“Our effort now is focused on identifying the person or persons who shot these two men,” said Major Crimes Captain James Laino in a press release. “We have located surveillance video which shows a vehicle of interest we’d like to locate.”

Police were looking for a vehicle of interest and say the vehicle has been located and the owner has come forward.

Anyone with information on the shooting death is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
