Navy employee airlifted to Richmond after air show accident

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WWBT) - A Navy civilian employee was airlifted to VCU Medical Center on Friday while working at the NAS Oceana Air Show.

The employee suffered a serious injury in an accident at the show. Though the injuries are serious, they were not considered life-threatening.

The nature of the accident isn’t known.

NAS Oceana Air Show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday and will feature performances by the Air Force Thunderbirds.
